D.J's Market is Narre Warren's first and only Community Market.
2014, saw the market's successful launch and this looks like becomming
one of the more popular variety markets within the City of Casey.
The brainchild of Sharyn Holt, D.J's Market is actually named after her own mother who, sadly, lost her battle with a Melanoma related Cancer in October 2012.
Since then it has become a passion for Sharyn to establish this market
that now helps to raise the awareness of Melanoma. The market also
raises funds that go directly to the Melanoma Institute Australia.
The Community Market is held at the Oakgrove Community Centre
89 - 101 Oakgrove Drive
Narre Warren South
Held on the 2nd Saturday of every month
11:30am - 4:30pm
D.J's Market Mascot arrives around 1:30pm for the kids to have their photo taken
Gold Coin Donation on entry goes towards the Melanoma Institute Australia. Melanoma Wrist Bands selling for $2 and Pins for $3 can be purchased on the day.
Candles & Gifts, run by Ray Potter is also generously supporting the Market's funraising efforts.
To Quote Sharyn...
"Ray creates amazing scented candles in many shapes and forms but perhaps the thing that stands out the most is the fact that he has created a candle with the scent of Opium, which was my mother's perfume of choice, in her memory and $10 from every one of these candles sold goes toward the Melanoma Institute."
