- St Kilda Beach (6 kilometeres from Melbourne) Accessible by public transport. For a self guided tour download this guide. The basic foreshore trail is about four kilometres and can be walked within an hour and fifteen minutes.

- Another fascinating walk that takes in both the St Kilda foreshore and the beach at Port Melbourne is the Solar System Self Guided Walk. This is a 5.9 kilometer walk starting at St Kilda and finishing at Port Melbourne. In 2008 artists and scientists constructed a model of our solar system to a scale of one to one billion between St Kilda and Port Melbourne.
Navigate the solar system from the sun to the outer planets by following the bike and walking trail on the City of Port Phillip’s foreshore.
