During the Melbourne weather in November the days are starting to warm up, though not so warm as to make hiking uncomfortable.
The Grampians make for an excellent place to do so and if it is just a short trip out into the countryside that you want to do with the family on a picnic outing then why not take a trip out to the Werribee area.
Maybe try your hand at a little fresh water fishing out at Werribee Gorge.
Drive on out to the Yarra Valley wine growing areas and sample some of Australia's beautiful wine and cheeses. While you are there drop into the Healesville Sanctuary and if you have time the Hedgend Maze.
Both great outings for the family to enjoy during this beautiful Melbourne Australia weather.
An event held in the month of November and becoming a fun, family event is the Variety Santa Fun Run. Those who enter the run can choose to run or walk 5km or 10km in the official Variety five piece Santa suit. Entrants are asked to fundraise with all monies raised going to the Variety Clubs special fund supporting children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
The Variety Santa Fun Run is a family-friendly national event and encourages inclusive participation from everyone, especially children with special needs.
Whatever it is that you do always remember that the Melbourne weather in November is unpredictable and can always take you by surprise!
Always check the weather forecast before you take off for the days activities.
