Oh - Come On! We Gotta Go Swim!

My 3 year old granddaughter had never seen the sea before and initially it frightened her but after a few days she couldn't wait to chase the waves and squealed with delight when they wet her.

Precious!
by: Anonymous

How wonderfully precious!

Your photo and story bring back memories of when my own daughter first saw the ocean.

She was 2 years old, only she was terrified by the jetsam on the beach.

I'll never forget how she ran to her dad, and literally climbed up his body and sat on his head, screaming, "Crabs! Crabs!".

Needless to say, it was a few years before her terror disappeared and we could visit the oceanside, again.

Childish Delight
by: Marylyn

Hi Sue,

It's always the simple things in life that seem to delight us.

I just love this photo. It really says it all. I can actually hear your granddaughter's squeals of pure joy from here.

I remember when my little ones were growing up they loved to go down to the seaside and chase the waves.

Thank you for sharing this precious moment with us all and best of luck in the competition!

Cheers,
Marylyn
