My Best Family Beach is Balnarring

My Favourite Family Beach

Every year the kids swim at Balnarring beach. It's always quiet and when the tide's out you can ramble on the rocks and find marine life.

If the conditions are right there is a small pod of dolphins who will turn up and have a frolic with the kids.

There is always a bit of seaweed unfortunately, but the kids don,t seem to be fussed about that too much.

On a clear day the water is perfect and you get a stunning view of Philip Island and the Nobbies. The sand is pure white and clean and if your looking for a bit of shade its perfect for that too.

There is a rotunda with gas BBQs and a cute little general store that stocks most of your requirements.

There is also a shower facility to wash off the sand before you get in the in general it has everything for a great day at the beach!

Thanks Tania for sharing and I have to agree with you that that area of Westernport Bay is a favourite of mine.
And Yes we played with Dolphins the 2009 January Holidays...thrilling experience.
See you down that way in 2010.

And Don't Forget To Be Sun Smart

You cannot feel or see UV (Ultraviolet radiation). We can see the sun's light and we can feel the sun's warmth (the infrared radiation). Our senses don't pick up on UV radiation and this is why it is so damaging.

Right across Australia this UV radiation varies, it being determined by the time of day, time of year, the weather including cloud cover, how close to the equator the position is and other considerable scientific factors.
